Valuable Bunker Technique for Ball Close to the Lip

When a ball is sitting cleanly in a bunker, but uncomfortably close to its lip, choking (gripping down) on the sand wedge encourages you to sing back at the proper steep angle, then scalp the sand perfectly with the club as you slip it beneath the ball.  The result is a shot that floats softly up over the lip and lands close toe holes with lots of stop.
